Food Allergies is a complex area. Like religion and politics, it is a difficult topic to discuss because some of it has to be taken on faith and it can be emotionally charged.
Enter Robyn O'Brien a food-activist-mother-of-four who likes to joke that at least she hasn’t started checking the rearview mirror to see if she’s being followed... some days, her imagination gets away from her and she wonders if it’s only a matter of time before Big Food tries to stop her from exposing what she sees as a profit-driven global conspiracy whose collateral damage is an alarming increase in childhood food allergies.
On Jan 9, 2008 an interesting article about Ms. O'Brien's passion appeared in the NY Times. If you are interested in this area it is well worth reading. In the first day, there were almost 250 comments sent to the Times about this piece.
